Monthly/Yearly
Monthly/Yearly
A. All country are the same, be it New Yoke or a tiny country like Singapore. It all depend on how you conduct your business, I have seen people making over a million a year and some only few thousand a year. Find a good mentor which can help you get started , this is a good business to get into. Try the world largest Real Estate company Remax. Lots of training. Good luck.
Which property agency in Singapore is the best for newbies entering the industry?
Q. I would like to embark on a new career in the property / real estate industry. There are numerous agencies in Singapore that cater for this. How do I ascertain which agency practices the best practices in terms of commission, training, leads and leadership? Thanks for your enlightenment.
A. ERA.
Firstly, its not a vastly huge company, so with hard work, its rather easy to rise up the rank.
I wouldnt recommend companies like propnex, coz its too huge, so you gotta work a long time with a good record before moving up the rank.
As for commissions, the higher your rank, the lesser you give back to the company, and the more you earn.

What do I need to do or know in preparation for a business awards night?
Q. I'm attending a Property Awards night in two days and I know it will be important to me to make contacts and probably learn a few things about the industry.I would love to go into real estate in my country. Just looking for help as to what questions to ask? What to wear? How to effectively network in a business gathering like this? Basically, how to make the most of it.
A. I assume you are going to the Asia Pacific event in Singapore?
During the day wear business dress. A smart suit and comfortable shoes, you will be on your feet all day and walking around the exhibition The dinner is black tie, so you should wear an evening dress. Go for classy, classy, classy all the way. The event will be prediminately male, with female partners in the evening so you need to look like a business woman, rather than a wife. Very well groomed, hair up, discreet jewellry. You want Audrey Hepburn rather than Marilyn Monroe.
Make sure you have business cards printed. Networking is about making contacts that you can folllow up after the event. So many people go to these events and judge ow well they do by how many buusiness cards they have handed out. The real success of any networking event is how many potential contacts you made that you can follow up and develop later. So concentrate on taking other people's business cards rather than hoping they will ask for yours.
These events are expensive to attend, particularly if you are exhibiting, so if you have no actual businesss to conduct or offer, respect the fact that you are not going to be a high priority for people to give of their time as their aim in attending is to increase their profile and instigate deals. Keep your time with them short and sweet.
If you are only attending the evening event, you will have less opportunity to talk business as this is the 'let your hair down' part of the day. The business day is finishes as the networking day ends at 4.00pm and many people feel that it's bad form to talk too much business during the hospitality part of the event. You will only really get the opportuiity to have a real dscussion with the people sitting on either side of you at the table. Watch your drinking, this may be hospitality, but it's still work for most of the people attending and if you want to make a good impression, stay sober.

Business loans for USA investors to buy businesses in foreign countries?
Q. Are there government loans for USA investors to help buy business opportunities in other countries (or through other governments)? Say, South America? Say, if the loan were backed up by real estate? Or is this available only to superwealthy americans?
