Freelance Graphic Designers Salary in the UK (Wales) ?
Q. Hi,
How much could a freelance graphic designer based in South Wales UK near Swansea earn ? What would be a rough salary for this area ? I was hoping/guessing it would be on average £25000, is this a good guess ? I have worked in graphic design for the past 4 years and feel I produce a high quality of work, I would be working from home 5 days a week 9-5....
Thanks for the a answer, But I would also like to know Freelance/Home Business Wages ?

A. If you check out this site you will see jobs in graphic design in Wales, wages are between 130-220 per day and 22,000-25,000 per year, depending on the company.

Think you found a job with Trovit Communications LTD?!.....?
Q. SOOOOO being unemployed and applying for a ton of jobs I lost track of the places I have applied to. I recieved an email back for what I thought was a receptionist job and they wanted to interview me on Yahoo messenger 1st, well I found out it was a work at home job that paid $25/hr and sounded way to good to be true. So after adding a few things up Im going with THIS IS A SCAM!

DO NOT cash the check once you receive it. I received the check today in the mail for $1,950. And there were a lot of things that didnt make sense but made enough sense to me to know that once you cash this check, theyre somehow going to wipe out all your money in your bank account. I would report these people to the proper authorities.

Ill tell you why I believe this is a scam.

#1. I recently had an interview with a man who called himself "Jacob Peter" for what I thought was a receptionist job I had applied for but it was a MYSTERY shopping job. He began to ask me personal questions such as if I lived alone, if I was single blah blah blah...then he asked me if he could ship things to my house then someone would pick them up after I boxed everything and then the boxes would be shipped to South Africa. What the hell does mystery shopping have to do with this?! Nothing so after the questions became personal I said thank you but no thank you then signed off.

#2. The next day I received an e-mail from a "Peter Smith" who wanted to interview me for what I also thought was a receptionist job I had applied for but turned out it was for Trovit Communications Ltd, a work from home data entry clerk job which pays $25/hr. Sounds great for the unemployed/or someone looking for extra cash right? WRONG! He then said he would send me $1,950 for supplies that I would need to purchase for orientation and training....

When I recieved the check today in the mail the letter is as follows:
Dear Mystery Shopper,
The enclosed check was sent for you to carry out a mystery shopping assignment at any Wal-Mart or Western Union locations in your area. I will advise that you contact Mr. PETER JACOB upon receipt of this check sent for secret shopping assignment, you shall receive further instruction via-emial you provided, in other to complete your first assignment. Please make sure you email here jacobpeter10@aol.co.uk to acknowledge the receipt of this check, for due process and accountability before work will commence......

Now remember this $1950 check was supposed to be for the work at home job with Peter Smith, not a mystery shopping job with Peter Jacob whos name was Jacob Peter when he interviewed me on yahoo for the actual mystery shopping job the 1st time. There was no letter head, no return addrerss, the email is from the UK, the check written has no address under the banks name except that its from Newnan, GA, and the stamp says Canada. I think this is the same person trying different ways to get as much information out of a person as possible to try and someone use it to their benefit. Both these jobs were posted on Craigslist where I applied.

I wouldnt trust it for the life of me. Hopefully no one gets scammed if they actually cash the check. Things just didnt add up for me. Good Luck!
I actually just finished filing a report with IC3. Thanks!

A. Have you reported this to the FBI's IC3 division for investigation? http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

You can also contact your nearest Secret Service Field Office to report this as they are responsible for investigating bank/check fraud http://www.secretservice.gov/field_offices.shtml

But the ONLY way to be safe is to know that NO legitimate company will ever offer a job to a person they've never interviewed IN PERSON. If you don't go to their office and if they are not listed with directory assistance, they are never going to be a real job

What is Trovit Communications Ltd?
Q. I responded to an ad on Craigslist about a receptionist job last week. I got an email from the Personnel Manager saying I needed to contact him via Yahoo Messenger to do an online interview. I thought it was odd, but I went through with it today. I found out it is a work from home data clerk position, and it sounds pretty good, but I have a concern: I have been unable to dig up any information on the company other than what I was told in the interview (around since 1996). Googling Trovit Communications leads me to a search engine for classifieds so I'm not sure what to make of this now. I am going to see what it is about on Monday (start date), but I am just wondering if anyone knows about this.

A. I also just did the same thing! I just had the interview today and Im not sure what to make of it. At 1st I thought maybe this was a joke but after he kept sending me information and asking me questions about the company I thought maybe it was real. Im still not so sure. If you hear anything please let me know, ill do the same!
